Rumour Hit Parade - 2 in, Whose Next?

Loum Tchaouna and Aurèle Amenda have signed on since we last did a Rumour Hit Parade which sees places 1 and 3 emptied for £37 million.

The big question is how much City are going to spend from the approximately £150 million increase in revenue. What does SFL think we need? A new striker presumably won't be cheap. A new left back? Wages for existing players will have gone up and you would assume the 2 signed players will be the clubs highest earners which will eat a chunk of the revenue. Of course theres also the possibility of dipping into the loan market but thats not something City have really done since SFL arrived, compared to the previous years when money was tighter.

With all that in mind, City have supposedly got closer to signing Carl Rushgoalieworth in the ongoing saga. Newcastle started showing some interest apparently but I can't see him going to the Toon to sit on the bench. LAST has been resolute in our belief that he will sign for City and with the increased rumours of an agreement he reclaims top spot. It will be a relief to everyone - Rushgoalieworth, the SBA, SFL, Dean Austin, King Doug the First, Sky Blue Sam.....

LAST dismissed the rumours of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori  as nothing but lazy rumours of SFL being interested in ex-Chelsea players. However, the chat is that there is more to this. The 2 players are apparently being sold the idea of SFL's project at City and theres even rumours that deals have been agreed with AC Milan and its just a question of convincing Loftus-Cheek and Tomori. The 2 players rise up 21 places to joint 2nd in the Rumour Hit Parade. They've even gone above Norman "Bertie" Bassette who is still at City and had half an hour at Northampton yesterday.

A name that has appeared on a couple of rumour website is Konstantinos Mavropanos of West Ham. I've lost count of how many Greek players that is now. The centre half is said to be keen on a move away from relegated West Ham (who have sold 50k season tickets btw!) with City interested. However he is keener to move to Germany apparently whilst West Ham's asking price is at least £30 million. LAST can't see this one happening and so Mavropanis comes in at a meagre 23.

The bottom 8 all move up a place after Hayden Hackney's move to Everton a couple of weeks ago that I'd forgotten about!
