City Splurge!

Straight into the top spot in LAST's Rumour Hit Parade yesterday and signed today, Loum Tchaona has smashed City's transfer record at £20 million. Yes, read that again, City have spent £20 million on a player.

Burnley have nearly doubled their money in just over a year for 32 appearances, 3 goals and 1 assist. He signed from Lazio where he had similar stats of 37 games, 2 goals and 1 assist. City will be hoping SFL works his magic, improves those stats and Tchaona makes similar progress to the likes of other wide men like EMC. Time will tell. Whilst his top flight stats might not be eye catching, at 22 he has got experience in the top flight of England, Germany and France. Thats not to be sniffed at.

He told City's official website:

“I was at Burnley last season in the Premier League, which was incredible. I’m going to bring my energy, determination and leadership to the team. I’ve played in Ligue 1, Serie A and now I’m playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I have a lot of experience for my young age. I’m so excited to play at the Coventry Building Society Arena and I can’t wait for the new season."

Nor can we. Tchaona has already joined up with City's squad in Malaga.

In the meantime, here's some of his Youtube highlights.

Young, rich experience, but Burnley fans are happy with the price; may SFL can weave magic, something Robins did so well, it should be said... So, if we need players, the RW is done, cover for EMC too, leaving GK, eek, LB (the Swiss blokem), CB, CM (Barkely?), and CF.., and then, who departs??? A start though in the procurement process, which, is hopefully, promising.
