Rumour Hit Parade - Don't Panic!

LAST understands that some of us are getting twitchier than a twitchy twitching thing with the Arse game in around 574 hours, as of Saturday night. Fear not, as the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has on it's front cover - Don't Panic! LAST is here with a rumour mill update and 3 new entries.

Well first up, lets get rid of some rumours.

Dan Neil was 16th on the list but has apparently gone to Rangers so we can cross him off and send him to the not happening table. Same goes for Oskar Wojcik  who has signed for Werder Bremen.

Thats 5-3 to the Rumours that haven't happened.

Onto some fallers. Mason Mount seems to be back in favour at Manure, so much so there's a whole BBC article about it. He therefore has to drop several places to 31.

Fikayo Tomori  is a apparently now attracting attention from Newcastle and Juventus. You would think that may well take us out of the running so down he goes to 5.

Another Hit Parade high flyer Dimitris Giannoulis is supposedly in negotiations with his old club PAOK. Apparently his current club Augsberg are using City's valuation as a starting point for the negotiations. I feel so used. Anyway, he has to drop to 8.

After that glut of doom, time for some new rumours.

First up is striker Marc Guiu from Chelsea. He came through the ranks at Barca scoring twice in 7 games. He then went to Chelsea and scored 8 in 29 whilst also having a short loan at Sunderland, scoring once in 3 games. Guiu's asking price is around £20 million but City face competition from Ipswich, Real Sociedad and Sevilla. He fits the age profile City look at, 20 years old, has been at some big clubs and there's extra possibility points for the Lampard/Chelsea connection. Lets give this some credence in the top 10 at 6.

The next new entry is Paul Nebel, a two footed midfielder from Mainz. He's very highly thought of in Germany and captained their U17s at their Euros and made his Bundesliga debut at just shy of 18. There's an interesting short piece on him here from the Bundesliga website, calling him a "midfield marvel". Nebel apparently has a verbal agreement he can leave Mainz as he only has a year left on his contract. An interesting one this and he goes straight in at 11.

Anthony Dennis isn't a player on the Hit Parade but is apparently of interest. The defensive midfielder from Göztepe is also attracting interest from Galatasaray for £8 million. He would certainly be back up from Grimez and Frank the Tank and at age 20 is again the right age bracket. Until something more concrete emerges Dennis can go straight in at a mere 18.

Finally, Rushgoalieworth. No news is good news......
