Rumour Hit Parade - 4 New Entries
10/06/2026, 08:08:00 BST

With just 5 days (next Monday) until the transfer window opens, City have been linked with 4 more players. LAST ranks the probability of a deal with absolutely no authority whatsoever.
Left back is one of the areas that City are supposedly interested in strengthening and Francisco Moura fits that bill. He's played 74 times for Porto, scoring 7 goals and has played in the Club World Cup as well as the Europa League. Moura was a regular in Porto's team this year that won the Primeira Liga. The 26 year old does have 3 years left on his contract which apparently includes a £50 million buy out clause. I think we can safely rule out City paying that, his current transfer value is reported to be around £8 million. On that basis, 26 years old and a left back, he's a new entry at 7.
Another left back Dimitris Giannoulis apparently turned City down last month but the rumour is still doing the rounds. He's 30 and played over 100 times for Naaarich until moving to Augsburg in Germany. Apparently though he wants to move back to Greece rather than the Premier League so taking all that into account he's right down the Hit Parade at 13.
Matheus Martins is an interesting one thats been around a little while. The Brazilian left winger was at Watford, on an 18th month loan from Udinese a couple of years ago. He played 49 times for the Glory Hornet Boys, scoring 6 goals. He then moved to Botafogo who still owe Udinese a chunk of the fee allegedly. At 22, left foot and played in England before he may fit King Doug the First's transfer policy. Straight in at 4.
Finally Lois Openda , currently on loan at Juve from Leipzig is a striker that City could be interested in. He banged the goals in for Leipzig, 41 in 93 games and before that scored 21 in 42 for Lens and 37 in 88 for Vitesse. Here's all Openda's goals from the Bundesliga. Juve has been a disappointment this season, making just 6 starts and scoring 2 in 34 total appearances. Openda therefore missed out on the Belgian World Cup squad, who he has appeared for 33 times, scoring 3 goals. His poor season might make him available on the cheap, rather than the £40 million that Juve were supposed to pay at the end of his loan. Openda has played top flight football in Germany and Italy, played for the national side and I like the idea of us buying a fast striker from Juve so he's in at 5.
Obviously this all complete conjecture and LAST's opinion! If you see a rumour I've missed out, please let me know in the comments below or via the contact page.
