Dr. Claire Departs as Performance Director

Dr Claire-Marie Roberts has left her role as Performance director at City.

She joined the club early in 2024 and has obviously overseen a hugely successful time since then. Her time at the club must go down as an unqualified success.

The timing does seem odd. Dr Roberts was Premier League Head of Elite Development so you would think that her experience there would have been invaluable next season. Then again maybe her remit was to create a scenario that got City to the Premier League and that has now been accomplished. It remains to be seen City appoint another Performance Director or have another idea in mind.

Either way, Dr. Roberts appears to have done a great job at City. She is an expert in her field, read her talk at the Training Ground Guru from last year if you are interested in elite sport.
