SFL Wanted by Palace?

I don't really want to give this one any space on LAST.

Rumours have been going on for ages about Palace being interested in SFL after Oliver Glasner declared his intention to leave.

Palace are now waiting on a decision from Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola by the end of the weekend. Sky Sports have said today that Iraola is only interested in going to Liverpool or Bayer Leverkusen this summer. That would leave Palace looking at their plan B which is apparently........SFL.

It's possibly tempting for SFL, he'd be back in London and at an established Premier League club that has just won a European trophy. He has only one year left on his contract and maybe King Doug the First may have to take the compensation money while he can.

It would be ironic if City lost their manager, just as we've been promoted to the top flight. There would be definite shades of 1967 and Jimmy Hill quitting.

Let's just put this on the backburner for now and forget we ever read it........
