RUSHWORTH SIGNS!

In the conclusion to this epic odyssey of a transfer, Carl Rushgoalieworth has finally, finally signed onto SFL's City project.

It's been a long time coming but LAST never lost faith as Rushgoalieworth spent all his time in the Rumour Hit Parade in the top 3.

It's a coup for City, Brighton wanted to keep him, Newcastle and Villa were aparently sniffing around but ultimately his relationship with SFL over the last season meant he didn't want to go anywhere else.

City have spent £25 million on a goalkeeper. A GOALKEEPER. Not only a goalkeeper but England's future number 1. Fans of a certain vintage may remember Jimmy Hill signing Bill Glazier for a then world record fee for a goalie in October 1964 - £35000! Lets hope Rushgoalieworth has half the Sky Blues career Glazier had. He's a made a decent start already!

This is a massive signing for City and we'll probably never know whats gone on behind the scenes to get this over the line but well done to SFL, King Doug the First and Dean Austin.
