Mfuni In On Loan

Stephen Mfuni has signed on loan from Man City for the rest of the season.

First reported on LAST 2 weeks ago and into the Rumour Hit Parade at 11, he's been up and down the list like a Yo-Yo as the deal was on then off then on again, finally ending up at number 1 in the last Rumour Hit Parade:

"Stephen Mfuni from Man City is also a possibility according to good sources. The 18 year old can play centre half or left back and would provide cover in both areas, of which left back is definitely lacking. One to keep an eye on, in at 11!"

Mfuni is just 19 but is highly regarded as a centre half and left back and will provide cover, especially at left back although JDS has probably been our player of the season so far.

You would think though that Man City wouldn't have allowed him to come to City just to sit on the bench all season. He has little first team experience though, 8 games for Watford on loan at the end of last season and 1 game for Man City - a 10-1 drubbing of Exeter in the FA Cup.

We will see what SFL has in mind for him but it does push certain players like Kitching, Lati and Bidwell further down the pecking order. Perhaps we will see some movement out before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday.
