Now Liam Kelly Is BACK!

Liam Kelly has returned to City to become the Senior Professional Development Phase Coach (U21's boss) following Mark Delaney's departure.

Kelly left City in June 2024 after 180 appearances and 3 goals over 7 years. He went to Rotherham on a free transfer where he has played 48 games over the last couple of seasons.

At the age of 36 he must feel that this is too big an opportunity to turn down, returning to City in a coaching capacity and working with SFL in the Premier League. Of course Kelly was massively instrumental in getting City out of the doldrums and back to the Championship. His leadership and control of the midfield was similar to what Grimes has done since being at the club. I'm not sure if Kelly has hung his boots up but if we need to tighten things up when we are 1-0 up at Manure with 5 mins to go.......
