Espanyol Friendly Announced

City will face the Spanish side Espanyol in a preseason friendly, 5.30pm on Saturday 8th August.

Espanyol finished midtable in La Liga last season, winning 12, drawing 10 and losing 16. It will provide a good test for City of the level of opposition they might face in the forthcoming season.

City have played Espanyol twice before. Once was back in 98 when we drew 0-0 at HR. The second time was in 2007 where the game finished 1-1 and 10 a side after Doyle and Referte were sent off.

Espanyol will also face Burnley amd Middlesboro on their trip.
