If you haven't visited To The Place I Belong yet, you are missing out.
They sell some of the best hats, scarves and mugs you can get and we're GIVING ONE AWAY! For further details of the giveaway, read away until you get to the bottom!
LAST caught up with Jim, whose brainchild TTPIB is to talk old scarves, old players, The Good Life and the biggest animal he thinks he could singlehandedly clingfilm to a lamp post.
So, when did you start the shop?
I started it in January 2025.
What inspired you to start it?
I was trying to buy a retro scarf, like the ones I remembered from our Highfield Road days. I found that most looked like Manchester City scarves, with sky blue and white stripes. Where is the navy blue, I thought, as navy blue has been present throughout our home colours, along with sky blue and white. After asking a friend to knit me a scarf, I wondered if others have shared my frustration with not being able to get a retro Coventry City scarf. Then, my passion project began. It was also inspired from a love of Highfield Road.
How do you come up with the different designs?
I love our retro shirts, and the designs are largely inspired by them. For example, our iconic chocolate brown.
Why the recent slight name change to include CV6?
When the amazing news came out about us finally owning our own stadium again, I wanted to have a brand and timeline badge that celebrated both Highfield Road and the CBS. So, one that looks back fondly but also looks forward too. I will continue to sell and release both Take Me Home Highfield Road as well as To The Place I Belong products, such as my latest range.
What's the most popular seller?

Currently, my most popular item is the Take Me Home Highfield Road sky blue scarf with the navy blue embroidered badge, although all home scarves are very popular, as they represent our colours. The white and the sky blue badges are also popular but the navy blue badge seems to be the favourite.
Where can people buy?
On my website, www.totheplaceibelong.com
I do occasionally attend markets, and you'll find me on X and Facebook in terms of news and events, offers, giveaways, competitions, customer reviews and new products.
Any thoughts of European merch when we qualify for Europe this season?
I like your optimism! No plans as of yet but will see how it goes this season; very excited to back in the Premier League!
Prediction for this season?
Our first mission is to stay up, and I'm hopeful we will. I'm going to say 16th but hope it's higher!
Who's your favourite all time player?
My favourite all time player is Brian Borrows. For me, he was better than Lee Dixon and if Borrows was at Arsenal and Dixon at Coventry City, it probably would have been Borrows with nearly 100 England caps. Such a classy defender and great servant.
What's your favourite City match?
The league cup game in 1990 against Nottingham Forest, where we won 5-4. Brilliant.
Villa or Leicester?
I remember the rivalry with Villa in the 80s and 90s, but for me, Leicester feel more of a natural rival, so I'll say Leicester.
Terry and June or The Good Life?
That's a difficult one as there were other TV shows in the 80s that I preferred, like Miami Vice, Minder, Blackadder etc, but I'll say The Good Life.
What's the biggest animal you could singlehandedly clingfilm to a lamp post?
That would depend on a number of factors! I'll go with an easy going, compliant capybara.
Thanks Jim! The scarves, hats and mugs look great. We'll agree on Bugsy and that 5-4 win too!
