Rumour Hit Parade - Rushgoalieworth Bid Rejected Again? Travers instead?

Rumours abound that Brighton have turned down an improved bid from City for Carl Rushgoalieworth. It may be a question of Brighton trying to squeeze every penny from City. It may also be that Brighton could cash in on their current number 1, Dutch keeper Bart Verbruggen. He has had a good World Cup and Brighton could be tempted to sell and therefore may well want to hold on to Rushgoalieworth. Personally I think that Rushy still wants to come, City still want him and this deal will eventually get over the line. He therefore stays at number 2.

City have been linked with other keepers should Rushgoalieworth not come to fruition. Mark Travers has played 2 games for Everton, 82 games for Bournemouth and 6 games for the Republic of Ireland. The attraction of Travers is his release clause of £4 million which makes him significantly cheaper than Rushgoalieworth. As I said before, I still think Rushgoaliworth will get over the line so Travers goes straight in at 10. Konstantinos Tzolakis is the other keeper rumour. He has played 131 games for Olympiacos and 9 games for Greece but the asking price is similar to what Brighton are asking for Rushgoalieworth so I can't see this happening - in at only 25.

As usual City have been linked with any ex-Chelsea player who may be vaguely available. This week its Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori. They are both at AC Milan where Ruben Amorim has taken over. He apparently doesn't have them in his plans and so they are available. I'm putting this down to the usual Chelsea link and so they are both in the Hit Parade at just 21 and 22.

Luke Woolfenden is a potential target for Sheff Utd apparently. They need to strengthen their defence and as Woolfie was only really a back up last season his chances of Premier League football may be limited. I could see this happening so we'll give this some credence and put it in at 8.

Finally King Doug the First may sign Prince Junior. Junior, primarily a left winger, is currently at Danish club Nordsjælland where he has played 35 games and he's also played 1 game for Ghana. The 19 year old is valued at around £5 million. Average strength to this rumour so in at 17.

As ever, if see a rumour I've missed drop it in the comments below or send them to LAST. Thanks to noscoredraws.com for permission to use the images!

I'm not panicking just yet , but we've known which division we are going to be playing in since April. The transfer window has been open since the 15 th June. Yes I know the WC is on but we've signed one player the same as Hull, and they had to go up via the play offs. Forget Rushworth he's not worth that much money. The rumour about the Swiss guy is still just a rumour. I hope we get a move in soon otherwise we may be challenging Deby for lowest ever PL points total.
