Past Meetings

I've made a page dedicated to past meetings with some video highlights HERE.

Here's this week's Head to Head Explorer for Sunderland. It lists all the past games, home and away, scores, scorers, totals and links to highlights where we can find them.

City Team News

After successfully predicting the line up for last week, we are back to no idea what SFL has got in mind again. Something obviously needs to change after Fulham.

However, when you start fitting pieces together, its difficult to see where. The back 4 picks itself with Bobby Thomas being doubtful with the calf strain he picked up last week.

Tats deserves to keep his places, rightly or wrongly Grimes will never be dropped, Yirenkyi's enegy can't left out, Rudy is a gimme and options up front are limited and Cherifs done nothing wrong.

That just leaves left midfield, maybe SFL will say to Gboho after his alleged attitude issues "go on then, show us what you can do". Harsh on BTA who has run his legs off over the last few games.

This is all assuming, of course, SFL sticks with 4-4-1-1.

Theres the usual absentees for City although more encouraging news for HWWW. He has resumed light individual work outside as he recovers from his thigh injury.

Aurèle Amenda remains sidelined with a calf injury, while Luke Woolfenden is unavailable with a knee problem. Josh Eccles has suffered a setback in his recovery and has yet to return to training on the grass.

Sunderland Team News

Sunderland have received a welcome boost with Wilson Isidor returning to training after missing five matches. Le Bris expects the striker to be available for Saturday, although whether he starts remains to be seen.

Brian Brobbey has also returned from injury and is gradually regaining match fitness. Thomas Meunier made his comeback from a groin injury during Wednesday's League Cup victory over Brentford.

Kevin Danso is available again after serving his suspension.

However, Dan Ballard remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Romaine Mundle is still recovering from knee surgery. Nordi Mukiele is doubtful after suffering a throat injury against Leeds, although Le Bris described the problem as relatively minor.

Omar Alderete is another player whose fitness may need checking after being substituted against Brentford.

Habib Diarra is available, with his half-time substitution in midweek understood to have been planned as part of managing his return from injury.

Le Bris therefore has most of his squad available, although Wednesday's cup match may influence his team selection.

LAST Prediction

LAST Prediction : 1-0. City to triumph via a second half Rudoni header. Heard it here first.
Huwligan* Prediction:
ChatGTP Prediction : "I expect a reaction from City after the dreadful Fulham performance. Sunderland have struggled in the league, and home advantage could make the difference. I'm not expecting a comfortable afternoon, though. I fancy Rudoni to score, with Cherif getting the winner."

* "Huwligan" is Huw, 7 1/2 year old son of Greg "Sweet of the Match" from LAST 1.0. More to come from him, believe me!
