International Round Up - IT'S OVER!

09/10/2026, 08:08:44 BST

For what has seemed almost like the closed season, the 3 week international break is over.

Here's the final round up.

Caleb Yirenkyi and BTA

Ghana were going to have one more game, a friendly against Morocco but that was cancelled allegedly due to some Ghana players protesting over unpaid fees. Morocco played a hastily arranged friendly against Mali instead.

Yann Gboho

Ivory Coast lost 1-0 to Cameroon but Yann Gboho got 78 minutes into his legs before being substituted. Highlights are here:

Jay Dasilva

JDS' Wales went down 1-0 at home to Denmark on Sunday. It was a big blow with Denmark going into second place in the table, leaving Wales in 3rd. JDS was named Wales' MOTM on Fotmob.

Highlights are here:

Taiwo Awoniyi and Frank Onyeka

Neither player travelled to Russia for Nigeria's friendly.

Joel Latibeaudiere

Lati didn't feature in the 1-1 draw for Jamaica in Honduras, in fact he didn't even travel after picking up a knock against El Salvador.

Liam Kitching

Kitch was an unused sub in Ireland's draw with Israel.

Kai Andrews

Wales U21's were absolutely spanked by Austria U21's, 7-1. Captain Andrews could do little as their Euro campaign ended on a bad note. They had previously beaten Austria U1's away last October but also conceded 7 to Belgium and 6 to Denmark at home.

Stephen Mfuni

Mfuni played all 90 minutes for England U21's in their defeat against Ireland U21's. England had already qualified for Euro 2027 and this result meant Ireland joined them as runners up in the group. Mfuni was booked on 28 minutes.

Highlights are here:

Eliot Meredith

Meredith was an unused sub as Wales u19's drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland.
