This weeks programme cover is based on Jimmy Hill's first game in charge against Northampton on 2nd December 1961.
This was the start of the Sky Blue Revolution and City's climb to the top division which seems somewhat poignant as we have just climbed back again. He of course wrote the Sky Blue song from which LAST takes its name.
Jimmy Hill also played 297 games for Fulham between 1952 and 1961, scoring 52 goals.
Head to Head
Here's this week's Head to Head Explorer for Fulham. It lists all the past games, home and away (and neutral!), scores, scorers, totals and links to highlights where we can find them.

City have hosted Fulham twenty times over the course of history.
The most recent was 2nd October 2021 when City ran riot and came out 4-1 winners with a brace from Viktor and goals from Godden and Maatsen cancelling out McFadz's own goal opener. Fulham would go on to win the league whilst City finished 12th.
Before then you have to go back to 1982 to the Milk (League) Cup when the two teams played out a 0-0 draw following a 2-2 draw at Fulham, to see City through on away goals.
You have to go back 1968 for the next home game, City going down 0-3 with Noel Cantwell now in charge of City.
One of the most famous games in City's history was against Fulham, way back on the 2nd Jan 1932. The game finished 5-5. City went 2-0 down before pulling the game back to 3-2. Frank Newton completed his hat-trick for Fulham to make it 3-3. Lauderdale made it 4-3 to City, Fulham scored 2 more to go 5-4 up before Billy Lake completed his hat-trick with 5 minutes to make it 5-5. This was on the back of the first meeting at Fulham ending 5-3 to Fulham, 18 goals in 2 games!
Jimmy Hill did, of course, write the Sky Blue Song that we all still sing today and from where LAST takes it name. Here's the part of the programme when JH first introduced the Sky Blue Song. What a great read.

If you've never seen this Pathe news clip made shortly after JH left Fulham and took over at City, it's well worth a watch. Look out for the 2 letters on his desk, one from Sparta Prague congratulating him on his new appointment and one from a supporter asking to keep games on a Saturday! There's also great footage of George Curtis.
Here's a great documentary on JH, charting his journey.
Finally, here's JH's This Is Your Life, with him playing Lets All Sing Together on trumpet!
Remember you can relive more past trips to Fulham at this weeks Head to Head Explorer. It lists all the past games home and away, score, scorers, totals and a link to highlights where we can find them -
