YIRENKYI SIGNS!

Well well well! City have broken theirs and the Scandinavian transfer record for the 3rd time this close season as Caleb Yirenkyi signs on the dotted line.

Yirenekyi started as a new entry at 5 on LAST's Rumour Hit Parade last week, he moved to number 1 this week and is now moving to the Happened table.

As we said in this weeks Rumour Hit Parade, this is a huge signing for City. A fair few other clubs were after him, just 50 days ago he was linked with Real Madrid and Manure! It says something about City, SFL and King Doug the First that they persuaded him to come over other options he must have had. Obviously BTA has played a part in his arrival being Ghana team mates, bringing back memories of Chippo and Hadji teaming up in the 90s.

The question is, where does he fit in for City? Yirenkyi seems to have been labelled as a defensive midfielder but from what I have seen he seems to like to push forward more than Grimez and Frank The Tank, maybe SFL will play him slightly more forward. This was his pitch map of possession won from last season from Opta Joe, he looks to be everywhere.

Either way he seems to have a strong tackle and physical presence which City are going to need next year in order to compete. He is making a huge step up from the Danish league but he's got World Cup experience and doesn't look like much will faze him. Maybe as the Youtube highlights reel says he may be a bargain (at £27 million, did I just type that?!)
